Obituary Rubric

The following is how I will mark you on your Obituary Presentation:

Written:
Grammar & Spelling - 10 marks
Clarity and Flow of information - 10marks
Written in a story format with the following elements
introduction, background, interests, failures, successes, Will, relationships, achievements, remembered for 25 marks
Conclusion to the Obituary 10marks
Correction from the first draft is complete and easy to read 5marks

   /60 marks


Presentation

Easy to listen to and follow 10 marks
Not just reading it but taking on the role of the person you want to read your Obituary 5marks
There is tone, flow and emotion placed in the speech 5marks
Over all performance (entertaining and fun for the audience) 10 marks

Total = 90 marks

Hey guys,

I will not be in the school until Thursday.
What this means is you have Tuesday and Wednesday to work on your final Reflection! There is a lot to talk about in the video and in your personal look at education especially living in Taiwan.  Use your time wisely and see you all in a few days.

Term 2 New schedule

The following is a schedule of when assignments are due:

October 14th - 1st draft of resume due - submit online
October18th - 1st draft of all Common App Essays due - on line -
October - 25th second draft handed in - print out
October 28th final draft of resume - print out
October - 31st final draft of the Common App Essays - print out and have on my desk Monday morning

November 1st - new writing chapter- personal essays are officially over
